About Silent/Mantra meditation
SILENT/MANTRA MEDITATION
In addition to group meditation sessions, meditation, breath awareness (pranayama) and mindfulness form the golden thread weaving through all classes. Meditation is a technique used for thousands of years to develop awareness of the present moment. Meditation is less about faith and more about altering consciousness, finding awareness, and achieving peace – self-awareness and self- actualisation.

The technique is practiced today in cultures all over the world to create a sense of peace, calm, and inner harmony. The mental and physical health benefits of meditation are extensive and scientifically backed. A daily meditation routine increases your focus and attention, helps clear our minds and focus on the present moment. Reduces stress and tension and helps manage triggers for unwanted impulses. Enjoy the collective energies of group meditations hosted at MindfulSpace4U or develop your own practice with a series of four private one-on-one sessions by arrangement.
About Yin & Restorative Yoga
YIN YOGA
Usually Involves a series of slower paced floor postures, typically held for longer periods of 3-5 minutes at a time. During these prolonged periods of stillness, the yogi experiences a surrendering sensory awakening that melts away residual tension and stress. Yin yoga works deeply into our body targeting the deepest tissues, our connective tissues – ligaments, joints, bones, the deep fascia networks of the body and the meridians.
RESTORATIVE YOGA
This slow, gentle form of yoga allows for physical, mental and emotional relaxation. The sequence is supported by props that allow you to completely relax and rest. Little or no muscular effort is required to hold poses, letting you quickly drop into a healing, soothing state. Calming and rejuvenating, you will experience deep, passive stretching. Restores the body to its parasympathetic nervous system function, helping to rest, heal, and restore balance. By allowing time for longer poses and deeper breathing, restorative yoga helps elicit the relaxation response- feeling peaceful & balanced with full body relaxation.
About Vinyasa Yoga
VINYASA YOGA
A style of yoga that is practiced linking conscious breath with dynamic fluid movement. A number of Yoga postures are linked in a sequence which flows, bringing together breath and movement. The breath is controlled and directs the timing and co-ordination of the movement in flow.

Vinyasa or ‘Flow’ Yoga classes are often accompanied by music or a rhythmic beat. Combines strength and cardio, working the entire body in unison without losing the essence of yoga. The steady cycle of inhales and exhales provides you with a calming, mental focal point
About Hatha Yoga
HATHA YOGA
Involves a set of physical postures and breathing techniques. These are typically practised more slowly and with more static holds than a Vinyasa flow or Ashtanga class. Hatha is a general, holistic approach that intertwines most yoga styles. Building core strength, which is key to good posture, is an important aspect of this type of yoga. Focusses on detailed instruction with longer holding of each posture and steady breath throughout the class. Attention on maintaining the stillness in the body and mind, allowing yogis to take their time to develop awareness, focus, strength and flexibility.
About Ashtanga
ASHTANGA
A very dynamic and athletic form of hatha yoga, made up of six series or levels that follow a set sequence of postures each time, gradually progressing through the series. It is rooted in vinyasa, the flowing movements between postures, with a focus on energy and breath. While it is a very physical practice, it also promotes mental clarity and inner peace.

The practice is like a moving meditation that creates internal heat, a purifying sweat that detoxifies muscles and organs while improving circulation.
